BRZ/GR86

When it comes to your GR86 or BRZ, the best thing you can do is an ethanol or flex-fuel tune! Nothing is required to run E85 aside from the tune—you don’t even need a flex-fuel kit.

We don’t believe in the one size fits all strategy that some tuners take on. 

We can set you up with four maps:

• Pump Gas (91/93 Octane)
• E50
• E75
• Full E85

On an OEM car running an E85 map, you’ll typically see about 220 whp if the starting point was around 180 whp on our dyno. With full bolt-ons, you’ll see about 230 whp. That’s up to 40–50 whp gains!

For those wanting more, your next option is a turbo kit. JDL, HKS, Boosted Engineering, and P&L are some of the best choices depending on your goals.

• JDL kit: Makes about 260–300 whp on pump gas at 6–8 psi with a catted exhaust, and 320–380 whhp on E85 at 6–10 psi depending on turbo choice.
• HKS kit: Makes about 300–320 whp at 10 psi on pump gas with a catted exhaust, and 380–420 whp on E85 at the same 10 psi.
• P&L kit: Makes about 300–330 whp on pump gas at 8–10 psi, and up to 600 whp on high-boost E85. At 8–10 psi on E85, expect around 380–450 whp.

For E85 on a turbo GR86, 1050x injectors are required.
